Laural Lake Farm

Hello everyone!

We have chicks! Yes, baby chickens! Wel'll have eggs for sale in 4-6 months! Probably $1.50 a dozen. Not only do we have chicks, but baby geese, ducks, and turkeys! We are so excited to have them. You can see them under the "Poultry" page!

I have also started Phillip on his under-saddle tune-up. He did fantastic for his first ride in two months! We worked on the flat, mainly on picking leads. He needs work with his right. We also practiced cantering from a walk. That went amazingly smooth! Other than his leads, we he is having a head-tossing problem. That will be fxed before we show this summer.

Savannah has been working on free lunging & become less skittish, (and more trusting).

Savannah free jumped a barrel, which was phenominal. She doesn't like to jump, and she jumped it atlest 7 times. 3 without me forcing her. She just followed my eyes and listened to my vocal cues. I am not sure if she's back-sore, or her joint are bad, but I will not be saddling her until that is confirmed. We are looking into treatment.
