After years of research, Amanda wanted to breed Boer goats. She wanted to breed show stock. After browsing online, she saw a solid black buck. That's when she decided that color was the future of premium show stock. She researched Boers from their inception to modern champions. Our first buck and doe had nice pedigrees, but as traditional stock there was something lacking; Color.
Amanda contacted all the farms, ranches, and breeders she could find. Based upon her research, we traveled 1800 miles to select the new breeding stock for our herd. We purchased very nice looking red and black painted goats, along with our new solid black herdsire. We have red traditional, red paint, black traditional, black paint, and now a wonderful solid black buck. The new additions bring excellent heritage, show quality, and new hybrid vigor to our herd.
Amanda wants to cross the blacks with hardy, heavy, show goats. Our farm hopes to produce large, hardy goats of color to enrich the breed. Amanda hopes to have some of the first and only black ennobled goats.
